The Toronto region faces important challenges, such as a growing wage gap between rich and poor, high concentrations of poverty among newcomers to Canada and visible minorities, and neighbourhoods not well served by transit or other city services. At the same time, municipal governments are limited by jurisdictional and financial issues in their ability to address these problems which are so central to their health and well-being.

This year’s conference explores key municipal issues, with a view to promoting prosperity and inclusion, in the lead-up to the October elections.
