Lit City Toronto
From March to May 2009, Lit City celebrates writers who find inspiration in Toronto and use the city as a setting in their work with author readings, literary walking tours, book launches, panel discussions, exhibits and more.
Lit City kicked off at Toronto’s 175th anniversary party at City Hall on March 6, and runs until the 10th anniversary weekend of Doors Open, May 23 & 24, 2009. Toronto Author Farzana Doctor is available to speak about her involvement in the festival.
Jane’s Walk
On May 2 and 3, communities across Canada will be participating in Jane’s Walk. FCJ Refugee Centre Co-Director Franciso Rico Martinez will be leading one of the 117 Toronto-based walks.
