Helen Burstyn

Helen’s career spanning over 40 years has involved working with government, business, academia, broadcasting, and community service. She has served as Chair of the Ontario Trillium Foundation and Senior Advisor to the Premier. Her community service includes serving as Chair of Evergreen, The Koffler Centre of the Arts, past-Chair of Waterfront Toronto, and The Walrus Foundation.
Helen is currently a member of the Royal Ontario Museum Board of Governors. She has also served on the board of not-for-profit organizations, including the Toronto Public Library Foundation, the Canadian Opera Company, LEAP: The Pecaut Centre for Social Impact, Toronto International Film Festival, Luminato, and the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Helen was invested as a Member of the Order of Canada in 2017, and received the YWCA Women of Distinction Award for Community Leadership and the Provincial Citizenship Award for Volunteer Service.
