BC Transit Ticket Assistance Program
Published on March 1, 2010
Beginning in 1997, transit officials and community groups in BC’s Capital Region worked to develop a system that would make public transportation more accessible to people living on low incomes. The BC Transit Ticket Assistance Program (BCTTAP) has expanded each year and now makes 80,000 tickets and 440 passes available annually to residents in need of transportation. The success of the initiative has led to BCTTAP pilot projects into other BC communities.
