Caregivers and Costs

The Caledon Institute was invited to the Parliamentary Committee on Palliative and Compassionate Care to discuss financial pressures facing caregivers.  The presentation focused on financial pressures arising from three sources: the extra costs for basic needs paid on behalf of care receivers, the current and future income insecurities resulting from workplace absences, and the additional costs of disability-related goods and services.
