Community Snapshot: Hamilton’s Mohawk College Builds its Community Partnership

Beginning in mid-2006, staff and students at Mohawk College harnessed existing learning opportunities – cooperative placements, and class and special projects – to the learning, leadership and citizenship needs of a Hamilton neighbourhood. Further work is planned to achieve within five years an 85 percent high school graduation rate for neighbourhood children.
