Opportunities Niagara: Untying the Knots, Connecting the Dots
Published on May 11, 2006
Before the arrival of Opportunities Niagara in 2002, no mechanism existed to initiate and guide poverty reduction work across the 12 municipal jurisdictions that make up southern Ontario’s Niagara Region. Since that time, Opportunities Niagara has gained a reputation as an organization which is capable of engaging a wide variety of partners to help untie the knots of poverty and connect people to the dots of programs and services which will enhance their quality of life.
This is the sixth in a series of stories which present the key ideas that help guide the poverty reduction work of the six Vibrant Communities ‘Trail Builders.’
