Stand up for good government, MPs

This op ed, which first appeared in the Globe and Mail on 11 August 2010, discusses the importance of the long-form census for good government.  It puts forward the perspective of several premiers on the federal decision to substitute a voluntary National Household Survey.  The authors call on the three federal opposition leaders to agree on the text of a resolution in defence of preserving the mandatory long form and to state their intent to move it upon the reopening of the House of Commons.
