There is considerable data demonstrating the important contribution of workplace pension plans in ensuring the financial security of today’s seniors.  However, will workplace plans continue to play a key role for future cohorts of retired Canadians – especially in light of the demographic aging that both Canada and other industrialized societies are experiencing? The study examines this important question and identifies the issues that require further analysis.
