The Station 20 West Project Keeps on Chugging

A Saskatoon community project 10 years in the making was nearly derailed by the removal of provincial funding in March 2008. Station 20 West was designed to provide access to healthy food, affordable housing and a public library for low-income residents in the city’s core neighbourhoods. When the development’s centerpiece – a service-rich Community Enterprise Centre – was put in jeopardy by the funding decision, citizens discovered that the project represented far more than bricks and services.
