Think Piece: Policy Conversation on Community Learning

This think piece was commissioned as a background paper for a Policy Conversation on Community Learning organized by the Office of Learning Technologies, Human Resources Development Canada. The paper discusses the challenges of living and working in a knowledge economy, and identifies the major purposes of learning. It explores the role of communities in embracing the concept and practice of learning. Finally, it sets out key questions regarding the role of government and the Office of Learning Technologies, in particular, with respect to supporting and promoting community learning.
