Vibrant Communities Edmonton: Building Family Economic Success
Published on February 16, 2006
Vibrant Communities Edmonton (VCE) is basing its work on a model of family economic success developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation in the US. Focusing its efforts on residents who work but earn low incomes, VCE seeks to build on local assets and help people move from a position of need to one of self-sufficiency (from “surviving to thriving”).
This is the third in a series of stories which present the key ideas that help guide the poverty reduction work of the six Vibrant Communities ‘Trail Builders.’
