The Dementia Respite Bungalow

Three Ottawa organizations are proposing to construct a bungalow which will provide respite for 12 people with mild to moderate levels of dementia and their caregivers. The Perley and Rideau Veterans’ Health Centre, the Alzheimer Society of Ottawa and the Victorian Order of Nurses, Ottawa Branch are hoping that this model will provide the support that caregivers need to maintain their relatives or friends at home for as long as possible.
