Governments at all levels in Canada have not lived up to their shared obligation to progressively realize economic and social rights. Addressing this will require new legal foundations, new coordinating structures and mechanisms, and the political will to institutionalize human rights concepts across all aspects of government.

Our work seeks to identify the specific gaps and challenges preventing progress and offers specific ideas, rooted in international best practices, which would strengthen the implementation of international human rights here at home.
