Maureen is a labour and employment lawyer who works with employers in the public sector and private sector, and in union and nonunion environments. Clients consult her on issues and changes in the workplace ranging from how to handle specific personnel problems and concerns, to the implementation of new structures, policies and directions for management and staff. She advises clients dealing with union or employee grievances and lawsuits as well as those who are building internal mechanisms for resolving differences. She advises clients on the employment implications of organizational changes. Frequently recurring matters include grievance arbitrations, collective bargaining issues, employment standards, human rights accommodations, dispute resolution and litigation. Maureen received her law degree from the University of Toronto and has been in practice for 20 years, fifteen of them on Bay Street and for the last five years in Kingston.
